Pica pica, Pica pica! celebrating Vesterbro Rock Fest
1st May 2026 at 6:30 pm – 2nd May 2026 at 10:30 pm
Voodoo Daddy's

Too damn right! Pica pica, Pica pica! is joining forces with Danish champions of new alt-music Vesterbro Rock Fest on Friday 01 and Saturday 02 May to celebrate their festival and whet your appetite for a visit to Copenhagen for next year’s VRF!

That means we’re bringing you a mini-fest of guitar-heavy bands of various genres:

  • six acts over two evenings at Voodoo Daddy’s*
  • aftershows both nights at 18+ venue Dead Wax Norwich, subject to capacity

Vesterbro Rock Fest, day 1: Read The Room + RATS AS BIG AS DOGS + Good Job Kid

Friday line-up

Read The Room create instantly addictive, hard-hitting earworms, thanks to their fierce collision of influences – think Paramore- and PVRIS-esque pop-tinged rock with all the gritty guitar-driven allure of Biffy Clyro – delivered by the band’s fresh rousing energy and frontwoman Alana’s impassioned vocals. An act that’s previously wowed PP,PP! and VRF audiences, no wonder RTR are headlining our first collaborative night!

Originally formed as a side-project for a bafflingly miscellaneous bunch of Bury St Edmunds Fugazi/Pissed Jeans obsessives in 2011, RATS AS BIG AS DOGS briefly blazed a peculiarly intense politicised post-hardcore trail around their hometown before abruptly hitting the rails. RABAD just-as-abruptly reappeared in 2025, having expanded into a more-intensely-vociferous-than-ever sextet that’s a who’s who of Suffolk alt-music legends.

Fan favourite from VRF 2025, Good Job Kid are ready to celebrate with their new single Big Johns And A Bad Leg! Hailing from Peterborough, GJK is world’s most efficient midwest emo band: two members that is your pocket-sized version of a full-fledged emotional rollercoaster.

Vesterbro Rock Fest, day 2: Oi Nah + Hamartia + WARN

Saturday line-up

Oi Nah are a three-piece sludge band from Norwich fuelled by heavy hardcore riffs and slow doom influences.

Fresh from March’s VRF 2026, south west England based Hamartia are hungry to share their bold, brash and brilliantly boundary-crossing sonic blend. Cathartic driving melodies and crushing riffs strike an intricate balance between vulnerability and sheer chaos, darting between pulverising breakdowns and haunting ambience at breakneck speed.

Alt-rockers WARN start Saturday’s party with their invigorating mix of melodic lyrics, jazzy guitar riffs and metal-influenced drumming.

* musicians: bring your demos and chat to VRF’s big boss Mathias – who you’ll know as a guitarist and screamer in our good friends FooN – about opportunities to play in Denmark!
